Physical Characteristics: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring is 24” x 24” x .22” in size and weighs approximately 6.25# per tile. The tiles have been designed with puzzle lock edges to remove the need to glue the tiles to the floor.  When determining the material requirement for a particular job, assume an effective tile size of 23.75” x 23.75” or 3.92 SF per tile to take into account the area lost to the puzzle lock overlap.

Color: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring is available in black, gray, blue and red.  Expect a slight color variation from dye lot-to-dye lot due to recycled content.

Surface Finish: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring is available in three different surface finishes: raised disc, raised diamond and smooth top.

Installation: Repair any major surface imperfections in the sub-floor.  Minor imperfections, such as cracking or rough surfaces can be covered over.  If pre-existing adhesive is on the floor, it should be scraped and sealed with a barrier coat such as Nu-Flor #500 from WF Taylor or a similar sealant, prior to installation.  Locate the center of the floor and snap chalk lines.  Locate the first four tiles at the intersection of the lines and hammer them together with a rubber mallet.  Then continue outward from the center in concentric squares.  The tiles can be cut using a sharp utility knife or other knife capable of cutting vinyl flooring.  Appropriate safety measures and protective equipment should be used.  A 3/8” gap around the perimeter should be left to allow for expansion and contraction. 

Transition Edging: Interlocking transition edges and corners are available.  In addition, the tiles are compatible with other commercially available transition systems, which can be found at local floor covering distributors. 

Smoke/Flame Spread: Critical Radiant Flux of Floor Covering Systems has been measured using ASTM E-648-97 (NFPA No. 253, Federal Test Method No. 372, NBSIR 75 – 950). Tile Master Interlocking Flooring conform to class 2 requirements for interior flooring systems.

Friction: The coefficient of friction for Tile Master Interlocking Flooring has been measured to be 0.7 – 0.8 using ASTM D – 2047, depending on type of surface finish measured.  These flooring tiles conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) specifications.

Exterior: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring has not been designed for exterior applications.  However, the tiles have been found to perform well on interior/exterior applications.  The black and gray colors hold up well to UV light.

Durability: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring provide exceptional durability.  The abrasion resistance has been measured at less than 0.4 grams (0.9%) at 1,000 cycles using 500 gram H-18 wheel per ASTM D –3389.  Shore A hardness, per ASTM D-2240 has been measured at 93 +/- 5.  Exceeds Federal Specification SS-T-312B for residual indentation, dimensional stability, flexibility, and resistance to reagents for Type 3 flooring.

Solvent/Stain Resistance: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring have been tested for solvent and stain resistance per ASTM F-925-96 against a number of fluids, such as oils, acids, solvents and staining agents (iodine, animal blood). The tiles exhibited no change (surface attack, color change or surface dulling) to any of these fluids.

Cleaning/Maintenance: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring tiles are easy to clean and maintain.  The tiles can be cleaned by hand using a mop or sponge.  A power scrubber or buffer can also be used.

Limited Warranty: Tile Master Interlocking Flooring is warranted against defects in workmanship and material for five years from date of purchase.
